Dennis Dolereit, previously COO at Grip Engineering AG, acquires the company together with Markus Wüthrich.

Expansion of the production area by moving the company from Gwatt to its present location in Uetendorf.

Development and introduction of the new valve generation in corrosion-resistant design for efficient use with rolling emulsions.

Extension of the valve type series by the size 160l/min.

Expansion of the product range with suitable solutions for

  • Aluminium hot rolling mills
  • Steel cold rolling mills
  • Non-ferrous metal rolling mills

Due to the rapidly increasing demand on the world market, the activities of GRIP Engineering AG increasingly concentrate on the construction and development of customer-specific roll cooling systems.

Development and expansion of the product range with valve for increased flow rates (80 l/min).

1996

René Nussbaum, acting as sales manager of Lauener Engineering AG, acquires in the course of an MBO the rolling mill department with 4 employees as well as the majority of shares of Grip Engineering AG. With Reto Santschi as partner, the two companies are merged and entered in the commercial register of the Canton of Berne as Grip Engineering AG with registered office in Thun/CH.

The company quickly developed under constant growth, as a well-known supplier of the latest roll cooling technology, as well as extensive rolling mill modernizations in international competition.

Development and expansion of the product range with normally open (NO) valve.

1992

1992

License agreement of the exclusive production and distribution rights with Lauener Engineering AG – Gwatt/CH.

Extension of the product range for higher pressure stages up to 15 bars.

Change of name to GRIP Engineering AG and first entry in the commercial register of the Canton of St. Gallen.
